Council Planning Minutes
and Applications

Plans  Are Also Now Available In Standish Library
At Times Working People Can Get To View Them.

When this web-site started, there was a page on this site showing the planning applications around Standish. I wrote to Mr. Sloane and was told that the idea of making planning application  information available on the web and outside their office hours was out of the question.

We may, in part, have Cllr. O'Niell to thank for these massive changes over 18 months, though he is too modest to shout about it? Maybe it was just MBC concern at the numbers visiting this web site to just look at the information? We'll probably never know.

Search Planning Applications

This is something we do have to thank the J. Sloane and others for. It is a huge step forward in openness.

However: The search tool for the planning applications is very poor. Don't enter much information for the search unless you find excessive numbers of results. The 'date' fields behave badly. Watch that you set 'From' week and then 'To' week before a search. The 'To' week has a habit of defaulting to the value in the 'From' week and then the search finds nothing. Remember to search both Langtree Ward and Aspul/Standish Ward if you don't know where this electoral boundary lies in Standish.
