Beechfield Index

Some day when the hedge is gone and the land covered in new housing take a look through the pages below to see how and what we tried to save.  The index is now in a historical order rather than most recent page first.

You will see from the volume of different planning applications and variants of them how long and hard you have to fight developers.  We learnt trees are very important. That's why the developers keep destroying them just before the planning process.

THE  WALL

Crashes going toward Beechfield since this series of planning applications started have been at the church car park exit., over the pavement into a church gate post with enough force to move it. Then just a few months later another accident demolished the recently restored woodland stone wall opposite.

Latest is 7th June 2003, at the Beech walk entrance again, with the pedestrian barriers being demolished.

Planners ignore all accidents not reported to them by the police. Do the planners like to believe their road designs are safer than they really are?

Is This What Good Design Is ?
